A Snapshot of Your Day

You are responsible for the layout of 2-3 projects in parallel. In the morning, you might resolve technical issues in project A by coordinating team members from other groups, then you explain our layout to an external customer for project B and project C is in the starting phase. In the afternoon, you adapt the reference layout to the project specific boundaries as discussed in technical meetings. Where necessary you create new project specific 3D models based on inputs and create documents and drawings for our internal partners and customers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Layout Engineering represents the layout concepts for gas turbine packages in the project resp. R&D team Planning & modeling of equipment in a 3D tool environment and extracting layout and assembly drawings Coordination with various global fields within Siemens-Energy like piping, fluid system, process engineering, electrical engineering, balance of plant, civil engineering, site and with external equipment vendors and customers Review of detailed design of main mechanical components and enclosures for layout aspects Ensure existence of accessibility, escape routes and hazardous area requirements

What You Bring

Bachelor in mechanical engineering, civil engineering or other comparable degree Several years expertise in plant engineering and gas turbine power plants Expertise in 3D modeling tools like Open Plant or equivalent Good command of German and English language team player with excellent communication skills to support and serve the global team Strong dedication to the product and willingness to own it

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof,
steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings,
modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
