Responsibilities:
Collaborating on the development of coating materials for glass, plastics, and UV lacquers
Testing new products
Collaborating on the optimization of existing product groups (product modification, cost reduction, production optimization)
Maintaining contact with suppliers (supplier meetings), testing new raw materials, monitoring the raw materials market
Maintaining the raw materials range
Processing customer inquiries and advising customers
Testing new products on the systems of potential customers as part of initial sampling
Analysis of products
Collaboration in the implementation of relevant legal requirements (e.g., on environmental protection, hazardous substances legislation)
Supporting the sales force
Monitoring production processes during the initial manufacture of new materials
Operating measuring and testing equipment as well as production equipment
Interpreting measurement results from a coating technology perspective
Occasional travel to customers (approx. 5%)
Required skills:
Completed training as a paint or chemical laboratory assistant or chemical
technical assistant
Skills in the area of automotive-specific core tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, SPQP, PPAP)
Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Communication skills, initiative, ability to work in a team
Good English skills
