About the role


As a Lab Technician at Munich Electrification, you will be part of the Hardware Development team. You will be responsible to ensure the correct operation of the electronics and electromechanics laboratory to enable all activities happening on it. This includes resource management, regular operations, testing support and process improvement of all activities hosted in the lab.


Your future tasks at a glance



Technical Support & Problem Resolution:

Provide hands-on technical assistance to resolve electrical or engineering challenges encountered before, during, and after the construction of prototypes and samples

Project & Resource Management:

Monitor and ensure that all activities held in the lab can be and are actually performed in a safe and efficient manner Estimate costs and timelines for rework, testing, and other lab-related activities Establish and maintain a clear plan for incoming rework and lab projects to ensure efficient workflow Identify, source, and procure all necessary equipment, materials, and supplies for the lab

Lab Operations & Maintenance:

Install, calibrate, and maintain all lab tools, test equipment, and related machinery Develop and implement basic rules for lab usage, ensuring all users are informed and compliant Guarantee the overall tidiness, cleanliness, and organization of the lab space and equipment Support the strategic planning and organization of the lab to optimize efficiency and safety

Testing & Development:

Collaborate with engineers to plan the method and sequence of operations for developing and testing experimental electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment Set up and operate complex test equipment to evaluate the performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under real or simulated operating conditions Meticulously record and document all test results and observations

Process Improvement:

Review existing electrical and mechanical engineering criteria, processes and documentation to identify and recommend necessary revisions, deletions, or amendments

General Support:

Assist with the maintenance of IT, vehicle fleet and other equipment if requested

What you bring with you



Successfully completed studies in an technical field (mechatronics, electrical engineering, automotive engineering or apprenticeship) Working experience in lab management, test and analysis of electronics, automotive or industrial experience Experience in the field of electronics design and manufacturing, ability to read schematics and drawings Highly motivated, willing to take responsibility and ownership of a technical laboratory Creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm for innovative electronics solutions for electric vehicles and energy storage systems Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English & German favorable)
