THE ROLE


This position sits within the Product Realisation / Leaf Blending department and plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling, preparation, and quality assessment of tobacco samples. As a Leaf Sample Room Assistant, you will contribute to tobacco validation processes and support product development projects. The role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, good analytical and organisational skills, and an interest in working within a technical and collaborative environment. It offers valuable exposure to product realisation processes in a global FMCG setting, with opportunities for learning and development.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Receive, check, label, and properly store incoming tobacco samples. Prepare master samples and ensure all residues and ground samples are submitted for analysis. Assemble tobacco samples and test cigarettes for validation purposes and smoking sessions. Collaborate with the Consumables Realisation team on product development projects. Maintain accurate sample room documentation and ensure traceability of materials. Support continuous improvements in sample handling and preparation processes.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Solid working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel). Basic understanding of statistics and ability to interpret data. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Strong team player with clear communication and interpersonal skills. Open-minded with intercultural awareness and adaptability. Prior knowledge of tobacco, leaf quality, or validation processes is a plus (training provided if needed).
