We need

7 Cloud Engineers (SRE) specs below:

Standard Mon-Fri office hours

Must be on site in Munich 5 days a week

Must be a citizen of a NATO countries (not from FVEY’s)

Duration is 12 months.

Location is Google Munich and Google's Colo datacenter (next door)

The two main areas engineers need to be strong in are Kubernetes and Linux. The rest is nice to have. These will be Site Reliability engineers

Contract: IT Cloud Site Reliability Engineer

Start Date: August / September 2025

Duration: 12 months extendable

Location: On site in Munich, Germany (Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm)

Languages: English (Mandatory) – Preference also for German and/or French

Contract project for experienced IT Cloud Site Reliability Engineers to provide Hardware and Software deployment and hosting services around Google Cloud. Excellent customer/client facing skills required:

Responsible for deployment, reset, management hosting and configuration of systems as needed to maintain systems availability. Assess and resolve issues and provide solutions covering full portfolio across design, scalability, efficiency and reliability. Perform day to day troubleshooting and resolution of Infrastructure issues (Network, Storage, Servers,OS, Kubernetes, etc.) where identified

Deployment and Management:

You will help customers deploy and manage Google systems infrastructure and services.

Security:

Ensuring the security of systems deployments, including implementing security policies, monitoring, and incident response.

Support:

Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Cloud deployments.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

Specialised Skills:

Experience in areas like Kubernetes, networking, security, and cloud operations.
You will have strong technical skills with a number of the following technologies covering both H/W and S/W along with good personal communication skills:

Kubernetes:

Architecture of a Kubernetes Cluster (controller, scheduler, kubelet, static pods, kube-proxy, deployments, daemon-sets, stateful-sets etc.)- understanding of the CSI and the CNI Efficiency in the navigation of a Kubernetes resources (kubectl, k9s) & understanding of the extensibility of Kubernetes through Custom Resources. Must have experience with IAM.

Networking Basics:

Switching, vlans, subnetting, network t-shoot (dump, and analysys) IP addressing, routing common L7 protocols: DHCP, DNS, TLS efficiency setting IP interfaces, routes on a Linux machine efficiency with Linux networking tools (ip, tcpdump, dig, netstat, etc.) OOB interfaces - serial console.

Istio (Service Mesh) Basics:

familiarity with the main concepts of a Service Mesh high level understanding of Envoy Proxy functionality

PKI:

understanding of SSL Certificates, Root CA, Intermediate CA, CSR, renewing procedures. efficiency with openssl cli tool.

Linux:

Deep knowledge of Linux (OS management, network administrator tasks, troubleshooting) understanding of Booting sequence (PXE boot) process management and systemd, journalctl Linux containers and namespaces Proficiency use of bash, vim, tmux, ssh Bash or python scripting

Hardware:

Proficiency work with ILO, and OOB interfaces, cabling.

Windows:

Active Directory, ADFS, Hyper-V, DSC, GPOs.

Networking Advanced:

Familiarity with Cisco switches console & familiarity with overlays VxLANs (eVPN), VRFs. Familiarity with routing protocols: OSPF, LLDP, BGP
