We’re looking for a seasoned Key Account Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment and can drive strategic growth with our level customers.

About the role




In this role, you’ll manage and grow relationships with key OEM, operator, and MRO customers in the rail sector. You’ll drive proactive engagement, identify new opportunities, and act as a trusted advisor who understands both customer needs and industry trends. In addition, you will support our distributor and agent network as we strengthen our sales channel strategy. This is a high-impact role for someone who brings energy, commercial drive, and a hands-on approach to shaping the future of rail at Trelleborg.

Your Key Responsibilities



Account Strategy & Growth



Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, goals, and challenges. Create and execute an account plan focused on long-term value creation. Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, or new solution areas as part of business development.

Cross-functional Coordination



Coordinate internal teams (sales, product, operations, service) to deliver a seamless experience. Ensure commitments are met and quality is consistently high.

Contract & Performance Management



Negotiate contracts, renewals, and commercial terms. Monitor KPIs and ensure the account is meeting agreed performance targets. Proactively address issues and ensure client satisfaction.

Strategic Alignment



Work closely with the customer on joint initiatives or co-development opportunities. Align the strategic account’s roadmap with the company’s product/service direction.

About you / your experience



Completed a technical education, preferably a university degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 5 years of work experience in Sales of engineered products within a Rail Environment. Proven experience in key account management within the railway or mobility industry. Strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset. Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and influence at all levels. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a passion for customer success. Technical background or understanding.
