Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled

IT Cloud Site Reliability Engineer

to support hardware and software deployments, hosting, and reliability of systems on

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

. The role is customer-facing and requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and experience with cloud infrastructure and system reliability.

Responsibilities

Deploy, reset, manage, and configure hardware/software systems to ensure availability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure layers (network, storage, OS, Kubernetes, etc.). Assist with deployment and management of Google infrastructure and services. Monitor and implement system security, respond to incidents. Provide technical support for cloud and infrastructure-related issues. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations. Collaborate with clients to deliver scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

Required Skills

Cloud & Infrastructure:

Solid experience with Google Cloud and Kubernetes architecture (controller, scheduler, kubelet, CNI/CSI). Proficient with Kubernetes tools (kubectl, k9s) and custom resources. Hands-on with IAM and service mesh (Istio, Envoy Proxy basics).

Networking:

Strong knowledge of IP addressing, routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TLS. Skilled in Linux networking tools (ip, tcpdump, dig, netstat). Experience with Out-of-Band (OOB) interfaces and serial consoles.

Linux/Windows Systems:

Deep understanding of Linux OS (PXE boot, systemd, containers, namespaces). Proficient with Bash, Python scripting, SSH, vim, tmux. Experience with Windows environments (Active Directory, ADFS, Hyper-V, GPOs).

Security & PKI:

Knowledge of SSL certificates, CA hierarchy, CSR generation and renewal. Comfortable using OpenSSL CLI.

Hardware & Advanced Networking:

Familiar with ILO, hardware cabling, and Cisco console operations. Understanding of advanced networking: VxLANs, VRFs, BGP, OSPF, LLDP.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in client-facing roles. Familiarity with IT compliance frameworks and cloud security best practices. Multilingual ability (German and/or French is a plus).

Work Authorization:

Candidates must be authorized to work in Germany.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 4.000,00€ - 4.500,00€ per month
