IoT Solutions Architect (m/f/d)!

Key Responsibilities

Design Solutions:

Translate high-level business requirements into detailed, maintainable technical architectures.

Team Support & Leadership:

Provide technical guidance, mentor development teams, and ensure implementation adherence to architectural standards.

Cross-Team Communication:

Act as the technical liaison, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with other organizational teams.

Key Deliverables and Accountabilities

EdgeX Integration Strategy:

Defining the blueprint for new device integration and data flow from the edge to backend systems.

Architecture Documentation:

Producing High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for new solutions.

Technical Standards:

Establishing and enforcing best practices for development, particularly around Golang and Java microservices performance and reliability.

Key Qualifications

EdgeX Foundry:

Mandatory expertise for implementing and designing integrations within the EdgeX ecosystem (including understanding Device Services, Core Services, and configuration).

Programming Languages:

Required proficiency in

Java

and

Golang

(Go) to support and guide implementation efforts.

Distributed Systems:

Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, resilience patterns, and messaging queues (e.g., MQTT, Kafka) typical of edge and IoT environments.

Containerization:

Experience with

Docker

and platform orchestration like

Kubernetes/K3s

for deploying services at the edge.

IoT Protocols:

Familiarity with key communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC-UA, and REST for device integration.
