Working Hours





40 hours per week, designed to support work-life balance. We offer flexible start and finish times between 8am and 6pm, provided that core hours of 10am to 4pm are covered for team collaboration and meetings.




About The Role





The Sustainability Internship exists to support the organisation’s sustainability and certification team in delivering high-quality environmental performance outcomes for building projects. Positioned within the sustainability and engineering function, the role contributes to energy performance analysis, embodied carbon assessments, and building certification processes such as LEED, BREEAM, and DGNB. The role provides essential support to ongoing projects while developing future sustainability expertise within the business.




What you will do




Support the sustainability team in achieving building certification goals (LEED, BREEAM, DGNB) and meeting environmental performance targets. Assist in collecting, analysing, and reporting data on energy performance, material usage, and embodied carbon. Help prepare sustainability documentation, reports, and calculations for ongoing projects. Participate in site visits or project reviews as needed, ensuring compliance with certification standards and internal quality requirements. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate sustainability principles into designs. Report to the Sustainability Manager and take accountability for the accuracy and timeliness of assigned tasks.



Your Experience




Essential




Good command of German, minimum B2. Good command of English, minimum B2. Good understanding of sustainability principles. Good understanding of energy performance in buildings. Good understanding of embodied carbon principles.



Desirable




Interest in sustainability in the built environment.
