What you´ll do

Design and develop a concept for Large Language Models (LLMs)-generated reports based on patent data tailored to diverse business functions, such as R&D, sales and marketing Evaluate and benchmark various large language models to identify the best fit for specific use cases Apply and refine prompt engineering techniques to enhance output quality, relevance and reliability Create a best practices guide to support internal teams in leveraging LLMs effectively and responsibly

What makes you a good fit

Student who has successfully passed the first semesters in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence or a STEM field Initial exposure to Intellectual Property (IP) topics, particularly patents, is a plus Fluent English language skills, German language is a plus but not mandatory Solid understanding of AI and machine learning, particularly LLMs (e.g., familiarity with tools like ChatGPT and similar LLMs) Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy and technical relevance Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to summarize technical information clearly and concisely Availability as of February 2026

We offer you an attractive salary between € 1050-2095. The exact amount of the remuneration depends on the desired duration, the type of internship (voluntary or mandatory) and existing degrees.
