In our department “Development of E-Drives and Transmissions” at Volkswagen Group Components, you will work on key technologies such as pulse inverters and power electronic components (chargers, DC/DC converters, etc.). You will validate ideas and concepts, perform simulations, and independently prepare analyses – acting as a sparring partner for our development team. We offer you an environment with a high level of scientific depth, the opportunity to help shape innovative solutions, and support for your master’s thesis – including access to conferences and publications. If you have experience with power electronics (>1 kW) and MATLAB, you are exactly what we are looking for!

Possible tasks within this role

Simulating, designing, and optimizing power electronic systems Supporting the analysis and development of power electronic circuits as well as magnetic components Assisting the team in developing innovative solutions for power electronics challenges in the automotive on-board charger domain

Qualification requirements

------------------------------


Enrolled in an advanced master’s program in electrical engineering, power electronics, or a comparable field of study Good to very good academic performance Knowledge of power electronic circuits and their functionality Experience with power converters (>1 kW) and relevant experience with MATLAB required Practical knowledge of additional simulation tools (e.g., Simulink, PLECS, SPICE) is desirable Independent working style and quick comprehension
