To support this journey, we are offering exclusive internship positions for the Summer Semester 2026, focusing on automation and digitalization.

Job Description

As part of our international internship program, you’ll gain hands-on experience in automation and digitalization across two global locations – Germany and Tunisia. You’ll work on real projects, explore smart manufacturing technologies, and actively contribute to LEONI’s digital transformation journey.


During your time with us, you’ll analyze existing tools and systems to identify opportunities where artificial intelligence and digitization can enhance automation, efficiency, or decision-making. Your insights will feed directly into our digital transformation roadmap, helping shape the future of smart manufacturing at LEONI.


The internship is structured into three phases:

Onboarding in Kitzingen, Germany (approx. 2 months)

Get to know LEONI’s culture, production processes, and automation strategy.

Practical experience in Tunisia (approx. 2 months)

Apply your skills in a real production environment and work directly in one of our plants.

Wrap-up in Kitzingen, Germany (approx. 2 months)

Present your findings and help translate your experience into actionable strategies.

Qualifications

You are currently enrolled at a German university You are pursuing a degree in a relevant technical field or similar (e.g. Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) You have working proficiency in both Mandarin and English You are tech-driven and demonstrate analytical thinking You are open to intercultural experiences and global collaboration You are available for the full 6-month internship period
