The Group Investment Management (GIM) division is responsible for managing the proprietary Munich Re and ERGO investment portfolio of around €250bn. The business unit Investment Strategies of GIM is responsible for development of investment strategies and market views for all liquid and illiquid asset classes for Munich Re Group.


Your Job



Together with the Asset Manager Selection team, you will


drive the search process for asset managers (conduct due diligences and onboard new managers) develop and refine quantitative models to analyse asset manager performance and portfolio risk back test parameters to predict asset manager performance and identify key drivers of future outperformance collaborate with our team to integrate AI and automation into our reporting and decision-making process and develop your teamwork, data analytics and investment management expertise.

Your Profile



Studies finance related or quantitative fields (e.g. economics, mathematics, statistics, computer sciences) Result-oriented and self-reliant way of working combined with strong analytical and organizational skills Highly motivated team player with pronounced interpersonal/ communication skills (German / English) Strong communication skills to present complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders Very good MS Office skills (esp. Excel) Capability to use python are a plus Knowledge of portfolio theory, statistics and econometrics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series analysis) First practical experiences in asset management, investment management or investment banking

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master's degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship.
