Your tasks:


The Innovative Finance Compliance Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing financial compliance systems for donor-funded commercial contracts and results-based financing mechanisms. This role supports project teams globally by ensuring compliant budgeting, reporting, and audit readiness, and by embedding scalable systems aligned with institutional processes.


1. System Design & Operationalization


Develop and roll out financial compliance systems tailored to commercial contracting and results-based financing mechanisms (e.g., cost recovery, due diligence, budget templates, etc.). Create scalable workflows for financial documentation, approvals, and reporting. Ensure integration into global systems (e.g., SAP, GM) in collaboration with Finance and IT teams.



2. Budgeting, Monitoring & Reporting


Lead financial design of proposals in coordination with business development teams. Oversee ongoing budget tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and donor financial reporting. Ensure alignment with donor timelines and contract requirements.



3. Audit & Risk Management


Maintain audit-ready documentation and lead internal reviews and external audit preparation. Monitor financial risks and recommend process improvements and controls.



4. Capacity Strengthening & Technical Support


Deliver training on compliance expectations for commercial contracts & results-based financing mechanism. Advise program and finance teams at HQ and country level, ensuring consistent standards and tools.



5. Strategic Integration & Framework Development


Define compliance standards and frameworks for innovative finance within the organization. Contribute to long-term integration into Plan’s financial systems in coordination with Finance and IT colleagues.
Your profile:


Qualifications and Experience


Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s or CPA/ACCA preferred Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in financial compliance, donor contract management, or auditing within the NGO sector Proven experience managing donor-funded commercial or service contracts (e.g., GIZ fee-based, BMZ co-financing, USAID contracts) Knowledge of international donor regulations and audit frameworks Proficiency in financial software and Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage Fluency in English required (French, German & Spanish Language are an asset)
