About the role
Due to our dynamic growth we are looking for a Head of SCADA (m/f/d) who will support our team from ideally from Mainz/Munich/Hamburg, otherwise flexibly from within Germany.
About us
The Head of SCADA is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the SCADA team, ensuring efficient service delivery, commercial decision-making, and technical excellence. This role is not focused on solely on daily operations but rather on strategic leadership of the team, commercial oversight, team development, and resource management.
What you will doYou will lead and develop the team, creating a high-performing and collaborative culture You will define and drive the team strategy in alignment with business and project goals You will oversee service delivery and ensure secure, reliable connectivity to renewable assets You will manage budgets, financial planning, and support commercial decision-making You will drive standardization while maintaining flexibility for diverse project requirements You will act as the key interface with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients You will represent the team in leadership forums, strategy discussions, and industry events You will ensure cybersecurity and compliance are embedded across all SCADA processes and solutions

What you’ll need to succeedProven experience in leading and developing technical teams in SCADA, OT, IT, or networking Strong leadership qualities: delegation, accountability, and building team engagement Solid financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and service pricing Experience in the renewable energy sector (wind, solar, storage) or similar critical infrastructure Strong technical background in SCADA connectivity, networking, and cybersecurity practices Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards such as ISO27001, KRITIS, or NIS2 Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and German Strategic mindset, balancing long-term vision with operational delivery
