The Business Engineering and Partner Solutions team (BEPS) provides businesses with the solutions they need to face the tasks of today, as well as the expertise to engineer a path to the future. Depending on business’ needs, BEPS will connect them with in-house engineers, recommend the right partners, or develop a customized combination of both. By integrating technology and partnerships in one team, BEPS can employ the right solution, empowering businesses to grow today and build for tomorrow. Facebook is seeking an experienced leader to lead business development and new ecosystem incubation across the family of Facebook products. As a global platform, it is our responsibility to establish meaningful relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders and manage C-suite relationships to deliver mutually beneficial products and services. You will grow and mentor a high-performing team that works cross-functionally to build new ecosystem partnerships for Facebook.
  • Hire, lead and mentor a team of business development professionals
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Facebook strategy in a designated product area and build out a deep understanding of the ecosystem in a designated arena
  • Identify innovative solutions in the market through expertise on partners’ capabilities
  • Initiate and lead exploratory talks to drive new business opportunities and product growth initiatives with key partners in designated ecosystems working with product, partner management, legal, solutions engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders as required
  • Provide input into Global Programs on our approach to ecosystem strategy with stakeholders in Product Growth, Product Management, and Solutions Engineering
  • Identify and prioritize partner targets
  • Become an expert on each target’s organization, business model, and strategic priorities
  • Influence partners to develop new solutions and drive new product integration and adoption by our partners’ ecosystem
  • Help define partnership/market requirements, produce qualitative and quantitative analysis of product/program performance, aggregate feedback, and explore new strategic opportunities
  • Identify business and product value exchange for Facebook and partners
  • Manage partnerships to deliver results, and build strong long-term partner relationships
  • Represent Facebook in external meetings with executives, both internally and externally
  • 12 years experience working in business development and strategic alliances
  • Experience in complex, first of their kinds deals with large and small companies
  • Experience working with Product, Sales, and other teams to identify and influence new product and platform capabilities
  • Proven track record of building and scaling global teams
  • A track record of influencing change in organizations, and experience synthesizing and executing against problems and timelines
  • Experience developing, negotiating and signing industry leading deals with market share leaders to deliver value to the ecosystem
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical experience coupled with knowledge of operating principles
  • Project management leadership experience, experience leading multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects across a global cross-functional team
  • Experience engaging with C-level of any partner organisation
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup, sales, and online advertising environment
