To strengthen our management team, we are currently seeking an experienced and strategically minded
Head of Business Development & Sales (m/f/d)
to drive our commercial growth and expand our global footprint.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Business Development and Sales organization on a strategic and operational level
Define and implement growth strategies to expand markets, customer base, and strategic partnerships
Take ownership of revenue and profitability targets and identify new business opportunities
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with international partners across Pharma, Biotech, and Life Sciences sectors
Manage complex customer projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Business Development & Sales team
Collaborate closely with senior management, production, marketing, and R&D
Apply data-driven and modern sales strategies (CRM systems, market intelligence, AI-based tools)
Your Profile
Education & Experience
University degree in Business, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related discipline
Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or PhD) preferred
5–10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a commercial leadership role
Proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, or Life Sciences, ideally in a CDMO environment
Demonstrated success in revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships
Experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder customer projects
International experience is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership capabilities and team management experience
Strategic, analytical, and hands-on mindset with a results-oriented approach
Excellent negotiation and communication skills across all levels
Entrepreneurial thinking, high initiative, and strong customer focus
Cultural awareness and ability to operate effectively in an international environment
High integrity, reliability, and professional demeanor
Fluent in English; good German skills are an advantage
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel within Europe and to Asia
Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales strategies
Strong affinity for modern digital tools (e.g., AI, Microsoft 365, etc.)
Established network within relevant industries is a plus
Regular presence in Andernach (minimum 3 days per week)
