Head (f/m/d) of the Parent Seed Department

, you will take on a key role in organizing and ensuring the production of base and trial seed for maize.


This is a permanent, full-time position based in Einbeck.

Your Responsibilities



In this position, you will lead an interdisciplinary team and take on the following tasks:

Management and further development of an interdisciplinary team in a matrix organization. Organize and ensure the production of base, pre-basic, and trial seed for maize. Coordinate line research, maintenance breeding, and registration processes. Collaborate closely with maize breeders and maize production teams to ensure smooth information and material flow. Take on project responsibilities in day-to-day operations.

Your Profile



Completed university degree (Master or PhD) in Agricultural Sciences, Plant Breeding, or a comparable field. Several years of professional experience in seed production or breeding, ideally in maize. Leadership experience in international, interdisciplinary teams. Strong communication and coordination skills. Very good English language knowledge is a mandatory for this position. Good knowledge of German language or the willingness to learn German is pre-required. Knowledge of French or Spanish language is a big plus. Willingness to travel approx. 30–40%.
