As a Global Functions Controlling Intern, you will immerse yourself in the world of financial controlling within a dynamic international corporate environment. This internship offers you the opportunity to support the controlling team in financial planning, analysis, and reporting for global IT functions. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking, all while collaborating with diverse stakeholders and contributing to effective decision-making processes.

Eligibility Criteria:
This internship is part of a local programme in collaboration with universities in Germany. To be eligible, candidates must:
Be based in Bonn or within a commutable distance.
Be actively enrolled at a German university for the entire duration of the internship.
As part of the application process, you will be required to provide documentation confirming your eligibility. This includes a valid ID, student visa (if applicable), and an official enrolment certificate.
Your key accountabilities include:
Assist with monthly closing and reporting activities, including cost centre reports and variance analysis.
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles for the global IT function.
Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
Prepare management presentations and dashboards.
Aid in cost allocation processes and internal cross-charging activities.
Collaborate with global and regional finance teams to collect and analyze financial data.
Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives.
Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the controlling team as needed.
What are we looking for from you?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in progress in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to financial processes.
