Your Impact



Define and execute strategies and master plans for the capital investment pipeline across all production centers.

Lead four specialized teams (Factory Development, Process Systems, Filling/Packaging and Factory Logistics) to develop and strengthen global equipment design standards.

Shape the future of our manufacturing footprint, ensuring growth, efficiency, innovation, and sustainability.

Develop a diverse pipeline of technical talent and future leaders, enhancing Beiersdorf’s engineering capabilities globally.

Drive strong collaborations and set robust project management processes together with peers in the engineering and technology, finance, procurement, real estate, legal and other critical stakeholders.

Strategic Leadership & Governance:

Report directly to the Global VP Supply Chain Technology & Engineering, serving as a lead member of the Global SCET function.

Translate the global Supply Chain and SCET strategy into actionable engineering priorities, aligning teams and stakeholders toward a shared vision.

Shape the long-term vision for Beiersdorf’s global production network, ensuring alignment with business strategy and future growth.

Investment & CapEx Management:

Develop and execute 5-year Masterplans for each Production Center, ensuring a structured and future-ready investment approach.

Oversee a €150-200M annual CapEx pipeline, prioritizing investments that drive growth, efficiency, capacity expansion, innovation, and sustainability.

Ensure project delivery is On Time, In Full, and In Budget (OTIFIB), with designs that fulfill committed business objectives.

Lead the financial steering of Return on Assets (ROA), ensuring optimal investment decisions with measurable impact.

Deploys, maintains and improves global engineering processes and tools, ensuring excellence execution in the regions.

Manufacturing & Asset Development:

Systematically identify investment needs across the global production network, addressing obsolescence, capacity expansion, innovation, and sustainability goals.

Drive the development and implementation of global manufacturing initiatives, focusing on areas like productivity optimization and energy efficiency.

Establish and enforce core design standards for utilities, compounding and filling/packing equipment, logistics solutions and factory design to ensure consistency, reliability, and performance excellence.

Collaborate closely with the Real Estate function, which owns site construction and facility management standards.

Supplier & Ecosystem Management:

Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships, working closely with Procurement to optimize costs, quality, and innovation.

Ensure a robust global supplier network, fostering long-term collaborations that align with Beiersdorf’s production and sustainability ambitions.

Capability Building & Talent Development:

Develop a strong and diverse talent pipeline of leaders and experts in Engineering and influence the development of teams within the SCET.

Strengthen technical expertise across the manufacturing network by leading the Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) Communities.

Design and operate the Global Engineering Academy, creating structured training programs to upskill engineering talent and foster innovation.



YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (mandatory).

Master’s degree in engineering management, Operations, or MBA (preferred).

+10 years of work experience in technical roles in manufacturing and investment projects.

+5 years in senior leadership roles with regional/global scope.

Proven record managing multi-million Euro/dollar engineering investments.

Expertise in CAPEX planning, technology implementation, and sustainability initiatives.

Experience in FMCG or high-volume manufacturing industries (preferred).

Leadership:

Proven ability to build, inspire, and lead cross-functional, multicultural teams while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

TPM:

Strong experience in leading Early Equipment Management (EEM) processes; experience with Preventive Maintenance (PM) is a plus.

Project Management:

Cross-functional and cross-border project delivery.

Strategic:

Data-driven decision-making and aligning strategies with organizational goals.

Fluent in English (mandatory). German is a bonus.
