Our team in Essen currently has an opening for a Global Category Manager (m/f/d) Professional Services & Travel - Indirect Procurement
This position can be filled in various countries in the EMEA region.
YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Global Category Manager Professional Services & Travel is responsible for the development and maintenance of strategic initiatives in all related subcategories: consulting & business services, finance & tax services, legal & compliance services, insurance, HR services, marketing, communications & investor relations related services, dues & subscriptions, meetings & events and travel expenses.



Specific responsibilities include:Development of category strategies Supplier negotiations Identification, implementation, and documentation of cost saving initiatives Strategic sourcing and application of procurement tools and levers Demand review, management and process development Overall management of supplier relationships

This is a cross-functional role that will interact with various other functions across the business (mainly corporate functions) as internal customers at global level.
YOUR PROFILEProven ability in utilizing and leveraging e-sourcing/procurement tools & systems (especially Coupa) Experience in spend analysis, contract development and execution Ability to develop best practice sourcing methodology and category strategies Excellent teaming, communication, and organizational skills Strong quantitative and data analysis skills Business English proficiency and ideally cross-cultural experience
