We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to join our team. This role involves analyzing financial information, identifying potential tax savings, and ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax documents. Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day accounting: Performing day-to-day accounting for three holding companies
Financial statements: Assisting in the preparation of local and consolidated financial statements (according to HGB and US-GAAP)
Intercompany reconciliations: Execution and monitoring of intercompany reconciliations and postings
Tax calculations: Preparation of tax calculations and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP at month, quarter and year-end
Tax topics: Preparation of tax-relevant data for tax advisors and coordination with them
Support for the treasury department: Determine interest expense/income and corresponding booking, liquidity planning
Communication: Communication of consolidated and individual financial statement information to external bodies, e.g. for Bundesbank reports (AWV) and statistical reports
SOX: Implementation of SOX controls
Audit support: Preparation and support for internal and external audits
Project work: Support in the automation of accounting processes and in the introduction of new tools
Requirements:
Successfully completed training as a bank clerk (Bankkaufmann/-kauffrau) or similar, a degree in business administration (focus on finance), or further training as an accountant.
Professional experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in the field of finance and accounting
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting regulations (HGB, US-GAAP or IFRS) and tax law.
IT skills: Confident handling of accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
Language skills: Good written and spoken German and English.
Personal skills: Analytical thinking, high affinity for numbers, accuracy and reliability, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills.
