Sibelco serves its business via clusters (group of plants and quarries), with each cluster having its own leadership and P&L. For our Ransbach Cluster in Germany, active in Clays and serving mainly the ceramic industry,

we are looking for a seasoned finance leader to become part of the local leadership team.

In this key position you will act as a strategic business partner to the local Managing Director.

Your Impact in This Role

The Finance & Administration Manager is responsible for all aspects of the financial management as well as manage the human resource & procurement team for Germany.


In this role you will be a business partner driving the business forward based on your financial insights.


Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Be the trusted advisor providing insights and support to the Managing Director to drive growth and margin expansion

Managing, tracking and updating budget, forecast and monthly performance processes ensuring strong financial discipline, high forecast accuracy and predictability

Improving efficiency of financial processes and tools through simplification, standardization and automation, leveraging technology and in collaboration with global finance and other stakeholders

Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for controlling accounting, HR and procurement, fostering a collaborative and performance driven environment

Lead Month-End and Year-end Closings by ensuring precise & timely reporting of group figures for all entities maintaining alignment between local GAAP and IFRS

Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines and principles on all End-to-End processes as well as oversee tax and treasury obligations & statutory requirements ensuring adherence to local and group standards

Serve as the primary point of contact for group and statutory audits

What You Bring to the Table

10+ years’ experience in a finance leadership role in a multi-site organization (ideally in a manufacturing or production environment)

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance

Experience of working in an international context is beneficial

Demonstrated excellence in finance, accounting, budgeting, control and reporting.

Experience in the Big 4 in combination with a finance leader position in a multinational company is a plus

Experience in the HR field is an advantage

Proficient in ERP systems (SAP S4 Hana), advanced Excel and Power BI

Knowledgeable in IFRS and German GAAP is imperative

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams

Pragmatic, adaptable with the ability to work to numerous pressurized deadlines

Full professional proficiency in both English as well as German is required (any additional language is a plus)
