What to Expect


We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Planner to join the dynamic Planning and Scheduling team at GFBB. In this critical role, you will serve as the central coordinator for factory-wide planning efforts, working closely with stakeholders across all departments, including factory planning, construction, engineering, manufacturing and technical services—to define comprehensive schedules, map dependencies, and establish clear priorities.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Planning and Scheduling Lead, GFBB. Develop, integrate, maintain and optimize cross-departmental factory timelines into one master schedule. Identify, analyze, and document critical projects, activities, dependencies, risks, and constraints to prevent roadblocks and delays. Monitor schedule adherence, track variances, and implement corrective actions in partnership with respective teams. Support involved stakeholders by navigating dependencies across interconnected timelines and conduct scenario planning to facilitate decision-making. Organize planning meetings, workshops, and reviews to ensure buy-in and accountability from all stakeholders. Set up a priority based decision-making process for factory leadership to align plans with overall company targets. Create and distribute regular schedule updates, progress reports, and dashboards to align all relevant stakeholders on mutual road map.

What You'll Bring

BS in a relevant engineering program such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Process Engineering or related degree, MS preferred. 2+ years of proven experience in planning and scheduling of engineering scopes, preferably in the automotive industry. Knowledge of scheduling methodology, like CPM, lean principles as well as experience in using scheduling software, preferably Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject. Strong bias in success in project management, communications, influencing others, cross-functional team interaction, and driving results on time. Excellent communication/ organization/ problem solving/ time management skills as well as open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude. A detail-oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills. Preferably experience and/or knowledge in Vehicle, Powertrain and Cell Manufacturing Understanding of engineering fundamentals as well as planning and building an electric vehicle plant Motivated and strong work ethic. Proven interest in Tesla's mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, through extracurricular activities, academic projects, passion projects, or equivalent experiences. Fluent in English, preferably also in German
