Job Description

Essential Role Duties

Handling of export oceanfreight shipments (LCL, FCL and groupage Container services) from door to door or door to port. Communication with international customers and international business partners. Complete responsibility from order acceptance, execution up to invoice sending. Ensures shipments meet on-time delivery expectations, profitability expectations and are executed within the scope of the client’s expectations. Facilitates any deviations with management through ongoing communication. Actively participates in the sharing of best practices and organizational skill development. Other duties as assigned

Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Other Skills & Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English General understanding of ocean freight processes Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams Works well in a team environment

Education & Work Experience

Certified freight forwarder or GED/bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum 3 years of ocean freight export experience required Experience operating a Transportation Management System
