Requirements:
You are a native speaker of the English language
You have a pedagogical background or relevant social work qualifications (e.g. a degree in early childhood education, psychology, social studies or similar?)
You have talents/interests that children could benefit from (e.g. playing a musical instrument, theatre, arts and crafts, sports, etc.
You have an intermediate knowledge of the German language
You have a positive attitude and are interested in early childhood education and development
You have a valid work permit forwork in Germany (if applicable) or a Quereinstiegsbescheid from "Berliner Senat für Bildung, Jugend und Familie"
You are a global thinker and open to different cultures
Responsibilities:
Supporting the team with the pedagogical care of the children: assisting each child’s emotional, cognitive, motor and linguistic development as well as their social competence
Building sustainable relationships with children and parents
Preparing and implementing educational activities appropriate to the age group you will be working with (either 1 - 3 or 3 - 6 years old)
Supporting the children with their English language development in accordance with the immersion method
Acting as an authentic English-speaking role model
Implementing and maintaining the daily routine in the kindergarten (e.g. looking after the children, promoting good hygiene and ensuring a safe environment etc.)
Supervising and stimulating the children during free play
