and help improve the efficiency of our EMEA data centers, driving sustainability for our customers and our organization. In this international role, you’ll collaborate closely with local site managers and stakeholders to implement innovative metering solutions, ensure compliance with ISO standards, and deliver measurable impact. You will manage energy-relevant metering (electricity, heat/cooling, fuel, water) across a large EMEA portfolio, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and reporting. This includes automated data capture (BMS, packaged controls), performance baselining, and supporting ISO certifications and sustainability targets.
What you will do
Conduct annual metering assessments (energy, water, fuel) and update guidelines at building/system level
Create and maintain meter mapping, logs, and standardized documentation
Ensure metering data accuracy and availability; manage issue resolution across stakeholders
Implement automated data capture and transmission to the energy management platform (incl. BMS)
Collaborate with site managers and local teams; conduct site visits to strengthen relationships
Support compliance and certification processes (ISO50001, EN50600, EU Code of Conduct)
Develop business cases and funding requests for additional metering investmentsRoll out and govern metering strategy and operational standards, including calibration and verification
Provide data and insights for reporting, dashboards, and annual capital planning
What we are looking for
Strong knowledge of metering systems (electrical, heat/cooling, water); data center and/or critical infrastructure experience preferred
Proven experience in metering strategy implementation and management across multi-site portfolios
Familiarity with compliance frameworks and certifications (ISO50001, EN50600, ESOS)
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to analyze and present complex data clearly
Background in engineering, controls, or energy management; mission-critical environments a plus
Experience in measurement & verification of savings (IPMVP desirable)
Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills in multinational settings
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken); additional European language is an advantage
