Join us as an Energy Specialist – Metering and help improve the efficiency of our EMEA data centers, driving sustainability for our customers and our organization. In this international role, you’ll collaborate closely with local site managers and stakeholders to implement innovative metering solutions, ensure compliance with ISO standards, and deliver measurable impact. This includes automated data capture (BMS, packaged controls), performance baselining, and supporting ISO certifications and sustainability targets.

This includes automated data capture (BMS, packaged controls), performance baselining, and supporting ISO certifications and sustainability targets.
What you will do
Directly manage and oversee energy-relevant metering (electrical, heat/cooling, fuel, water etc) across the portfolio
Support metering data quality and manage issue identification and rectification process with all stakeholders
Identification of missing or additional metering required for performance measurement and billing purposes
Support automated data capture and transmission of all relevant metering, including BMS and packaged controls data, to the energy management platform across all regions
Work closely with Engineering and Controls teams on operational standards and roll out of portfolio wide initiatives
Drive consistency in implementation of standards including calibration and readings / data verification
Carry out an annual energy, water and fuel metering assessment
Establish an energy, water and fuel metering guideline with annual updates on a building and system level
Create and maintain meter mapping documentation
Maintain metering data availability and quality
Manage metering issue resolution with all stakeholders
Visit sites and nurture relationships with all stakeholders to enable ongoing support for metering management
Point of contact for metering matters in the Energy Efficiency team
Produce business cases and funding requests for investment in additional or supplementary metering
Management and implementation of central team metering strategy with all stakeholders
Maintain and update metering logs and management reports
Support the annual capital planning process
What we are looking for
Extensive experience of metering hardware and systems for electrical, heat/cooling, water etc – data center sector experience desirable
Experience of managing and delivering metering strategies and ongoing management of these
Experience of verification and validation of delivered savings – IPMVP experience desirable
Experience of creating and presenting business cases for investment projects
Engineering, controls or energy management background and experience desirable
Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience of working in mission critical environment within a large company, IT/Telecoms industry preferred
Experience of working in a large portfolio structure across multiple sites and countries
Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment
Proficient in English and German languages – both written and verbal
Additional language written and verbal desirable
Ability to work in multinational, interdisciplinary and culturally diverse teams
Presentation skills in formal and online settings
Eagerness to learn, develop, share experience and make a difference
Compensation Pay Range
Please note the below is based in Electrical Engineer benchmark.
Please see benchmark range for basic salary p.a. for UK and based on Specialist level below:
min £36,000 low £41,000 mid £51,000 high £57,000 max £66,000
Budget 76,079.88 euro plus 10 % bonus
