About the role:




Reporting to the EU Manager, Marketing Campaigns – EMEA, the

EMEA Tradeshow Manager (Maternity Cover – 2 Years)

is responsible for planning, managing, and executing flagship tradeshows (including IFAT, ACHEMA, and Pollutec), as well as mid-sized events within Hach’s core European markets. In total, this represents approximately 15 shows per year.


As part of a high-energy regional marketing team, this role plays a key part in delivering exceptional brand experiences that delight customers, engage stakeholders, and drive Hach’s market share and brand equity. The position will also work closely with the Global Tradeshow and Events Manager, who provides strategic guidance on brand and tradeshow best practices. This role requires strong expertise in EU tradeshow management and execution, combined with solid skills in budgeting, reporting, and lead tracking. It also involves extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams across the region.

Travel

based in Germany (Düsseldorf or Berlin preferred)

In this role, you will:

Develop and manage Hach’s

EU tradeshow and event calendar

to meet business needs. Plan and execute

flagship tradeshows

such as IFAT, ACHEMA, Pollutec, and others. Manage the

full event lifecycle

, including concept development, project planning, vendor selection, contract negotiations, logistics (travel, accommodations, catering, booth setup, registration), onsite support, and post-event reporting. Own the

EU tradeshow budget

, including forecasting, monthly reconciliation, and cost optimization. Support prioritized

internal events

within the region, in coordination with the Global Tradeshow and Events Manager. Create event reports and

analyze ROI

(leads, opportunities, revenue, customer contacts) to inform future event strategies and maintain institutional knowledge. Collaborate with

digital marketing managers and campaign teams

to deliver integrated pre- and post-event communications.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Several years of proven experience in

managing tradeshows and large-scale events

within the EU. Bachelor’s degree in

Marketing

or a related field. Proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite

(PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint). Strong

budget management and financial reconciliation

skills. Confident in preparing and delivering

presentations to senior leaders

. Experience with

event/inventory management software

(e.g., Exhibitforce.com) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in

English

; knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage.
