Job Summary

Be the subject matter expert for Capital within SCB AG Treasury. Responsibilities include leading on any internal or external governance for capital issuance, legal entity capital optimisation and forecasting.

You will be expected to have an expert level of knowledge about CRR capital requirements (SCB AG is currently uses the standardised methodology for credit risk, but is applying for an IRB model permission) and how these interact with capital management, forecasting and business optimisation.

You will need to be comfortable with multiple systems, including Excel and ideally with a working knowledge of OLAP-based systems.

Key Responsibilities


Strategy



Understand Standard Chartered’s business strategy, how it applies to Standard Chartered Bank AG and the consequences of regulation on capital demand and forecasting.

Business



Work with the business to optimise legal entity capital demand.

Processes



Contribute to the forecasting process for capital and leverage, be responsible for maintenance of capital obligations register, internal governance around dividends and capital issuance. Assist the recovery planning team on the capital related recovery indicators and impacts.

Risk Management



Understand regulatory change and the impact this can have on SCB AG’s capital position and appropriately manage the risks around such changes.

Governance



Fulfill all governance requirements relating to Capital management, working with stress testing, regulatory reporting and economic capital teams to understand and forecast capital demand.

Regulatory & Business Conduct



Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience



10+ years of experience in treasury, capital management within a banking; Proven track record in capital planning and optimization, in regulatory capital management. Knowledge of bank regulations, regulatory reporting Strategic mindset, stakeholders management skills (including board-level and regulatory engagement) Knowledge of OLAP-based systems

Qualifications


Certifications

Holder of one or more of Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certificate in Bank Asset-Liability Management
