Your role:
We are excited to present a unique opportunity within the Strategy Development team for the position of Director Strategy Development in the Science and Lab Solutions (SLS) business. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping our strategic direction as part of an enthusiastic, diverse, and vibrant team. You will lead the development of innovative strategies and own top-priority cross-business unit strategic projects while collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization, including Life Science and Business Unit Strategy teams, Commercial, E-commerce, Global Strategic Accounts, R&D, Operations, and Finance. Market and competitive analyses, along with the identification of trends and the formulation of actionable recommendations, are also integral components of the role. Your insights will be critical in guiding decision-making at the SLS management level, particularly in areas of capital allocation and strategic priorities.
Who you are:
An outstanding Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Natural Science, or a related field; a PhD or MBA is a plus.
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a renowned strategy or consulting firm, Big Four, or in a strategic role within an industrial company in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to navigate and thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Strong analytical capabilities paired with a demonstrated aptitude for strategic and conceptual thinking.
Proven expertise in strategic planning and financial analysis, with a solid understanding of economic trends affecting our business.
Experience in leading cross-functional projects and managing stakeholders effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in German or another foreign language is an advantage. Proficient use of MS Office is essential.
