Director* Procurement Clinical

As the Director* Procurement Clinical you are responsible for all required resources to ensure flawless execution of all Procurement activities in Commodities Biometric Sciences, Clinical Development Operations (including CTSM), Pharmacovigilance and Translational Medicine.

Your main responsibilities are:
  • Identification of service needs across the portfolio to define the best approach and outsourcing model, e.g. defining strategy and leading the team towards the goal achievement as well as overseeing sourcing activities and managing required resources to lead and executing them
  • Lead contract management and strive for cost optimization at commodity level which includes e.g. defining and controlling the roles and responsibility matrix with the support of SMEs, supervising KPIs/metrics or conduct relationship management and supplier management
  • Proactively address quality, performance and cost across all commodities (relationship management & supplier management)
  • Reducing and managing risk through ongoing issue management and process harmonization
  • Organizational development and business process optimization such as transforming Purchasing organization to meet the corporate requirements and constantly monitoring performance for optimization

What you have to offer.

  • University degree in business sciences, pharmacy or clinical research and many years of relevant professional experience (> 5 years)
  • Profound knowledge in clinical procurement
  • Comprehension of procurement processes and industry requirements in general
  • Good communication and cooperation as well as experience in national and international stakeholder management
  • Ideally, first leadership experiences
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art legal requirements in procurement
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
