Your tasks

Provide strong disciplinary and technical leadership to a team of 10-15 software engineers. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team environment. Mentor and coach team members, identifying skill gaps and supporting professional development. Facilitate team communication and collaboration with other international R&D teams and manage team workload, prioritization, and people allocation. Oversee the design, development, and testing of XLAPI, ensuring high quality and adherence to industry’s best practices. Deeply understand the functionality of XLAPI and its relationship to the underlying CMX mobile radio tester and ensure the Python-based XLAPI API is well-documented, user-friendly, and maintainable. Enable scaling of xLAPI across different use cases including an AI-based test script development product Guide the team in abstracting the complexity of 3GPP 4G/5G signaling messages for effective mobile protocol stack testing.

Your qualifications

Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field is required. Proven experience in software development, with a strong focus on application development for distributed systems and leading and mentoring a team of software engineers. Demonstrable experience with the entire software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance) and agile software development methodologies. Strong proficiency in Python programming. Solid understanding of the telecommunications industry and mobile device testing with 3GPP 4G/5G standards and mobile communication protocols. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and international team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. German language skills are a plus.
