Your Responsibilities:

Central interface between assigned CDMOs and BioNTech to ensure smooth operations and supply, as well as effective communication and collaboration. Leading interdisciplinary teams, including SMEs from AS&T, QC, MS&T, Procurement, CMC, Supply Chain, QA, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and other areas to effectively manage the performance of the assigned CDMOs,
incl. KPI target setting and review and implementation of CAPAs
Leading contract negotiations and serving as the first escalation point for challenges within the external production network Execution, management and/or support of projects at CDMOs, such as continuous improvement initiatives or technology transfers. Supporting the supply strategy process, especially for BioNTech's protein pipeline and mRNA pipeline. Knowledge in the manufacturing of proteins and mRNA is preferred. Responsible for the strategic account development of CDMOs within BioNTech's external production network, incl. setting resource plans and budgets.

Requirements:

Completed degree in a relevant field, preferably in supply chain management, international business management, engineering or life sciences. 5 to 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, ideally focusing on external supply -/CDMO -/supplier relationship management. Strong leadership qualities, project management skills, stakeholder management and the ability to effectively lead interdisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills and track-record in contract negotiations. Good combination of strategic and operational skills; ability to make flexible but thourgh decisions in a highly dynamic environment. Profound knowledge of relevant EMA, FDA and other regulatory standards as well es Good Manufacturing Practices. Business-fluent English. German is a plus
