The Lounge by Zalando Marketing team is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to own and manage a portfolio of digital marketing channels, including SEA, Paid Social & Display. In this role, you will be key in driving growth by overseeing a multi-million-euro monthly advertising budget to scale customer acquisition and maximize customer lifetime value. You will work alongside a dynamic team, focusing on campaign setup, optimization, and performance analysis to ensure alignment with broader marketing objectives. Your primary responsibilities will involve using industry-standard platforms to monitor performance, leveraging data to enhance campaign ROI, and continuously improving performance through A/B testing and incrementality measurement. Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and data scientists, you will help develop scalable, data-driven processes and drive cross-channel growth.

Channel Ownership

Manage a portfolio of digital marketing channels including SEA, Paid Social & Display across various markets. Ensure campaign setup, optimization, and performance analysis are aligned with broader marketing objectives

Budget Management

Oversee a multi-million-euro monthly advertising budget, aiming to scale customer acquisition and maximize customer lifetime value for long-term business growth.

Analytical & Technical Excellence:

Use industry-standard platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Ads, Microsoft Bing Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Apple Search Ads) to monitor performance, identify trends, and implement optimizations. Leverage web analytics, data visualization, and marketing automation systems to enhance campaign ROI.

Optimization & Testing:

Continuously improve campaign performance through A/B testing, incrementality measurement, and data-driven conversion strategies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

Ensure Seamless Execution

Proactively identify and resolve tracking or performance-related discrepancies, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution. Data Collaboration: Partner with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to develop and automate scalable, data-driven processes. Leverage insights from Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) to inform strategy.

Cross-Channel Growth:

Collaborate with teams across various marketing channels to drive knowledge sharing and create synergies that improve overall marketing performance, whilst staying ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing and analytics to maintain a competitive edge.

You have at least 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing demonstrating success in contributing to digital marketing campaigns and have a solid understanding of KPIs for web and app campaigns. You are proficient in conducting A/B tests, analyzing marketing data, and have a foundational understanding of statistics. Experience with incrementality testing methodologies and familiarity with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) concepts and their application is highly desirable. You possess strong analytical skills, are proficient in Excel/Sheets, and are familiar with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Data Studio). Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages is a strong plus. You have a good understanding of technical marketing aspects such as tracking, attribution, and tag management. You are innovative and curious, constantly seeking to challenge the status quo and improve processes. You have excellent prioritisation and time management skills, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive on collaboration and continuous learning. You are fluent in English. Proficiency in a second European language would be advantageous.
