DevOps / Cloud Engineer

in our

HQ in Berlin

to own our cloud infrastructure, automate the boring stuff, and keep our systems secure and scalable. You’ll work closely with our dev team, ship real improvements, and actually see the impact of your work.

YOUR ROLE

Own and evolve our AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.) Manage and optimize our web server setup (nginx on Ubuntu) Operate and configure Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS protection) Automate infrastructure and deployments (IaC with Terraform or similar tools) Work closely with our PHP/Laravel development team Ensure high availability and top performance in staging and production environments Set up and maintain monitoring and logging (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar) Implement security best practices for web applications and infrastructure Continuously improve our CI/CD pipelines

OUR TECH STACK

PHP 8.x / Laravel nginx on Ubuntu AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.) Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS Protection) Docker GitLab CI/CD Monitoring & Logging: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Security-first mindset: web app hardening, access control, patching, firewall management

WHAT YOU BRING

Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructures, ideally AWS Strong Linux system administration skills (Ubuntu) Solid nginx knowledge (reverse proxy, TLS, rewrite rules, etc.) Experience with Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, caching, WAF, SSL/TLS, rate limiting) Experience with PHP/Laravel environments is a plus Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and automation Basic understanding of IT security and modern threat landscapes A structured, self-driven working style – more builder than slide-deck artist
