Job Overview:
We are seeking a
skilled and proactive Desktop Support Services Engineer
to deliver high-quality onsite IT support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations by providing prompt, effective, and customer-focused technical support to end users.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide
onsite desktop and IT support
to end users, including hardware, software, and peripheral issues
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve
Level 1 and Level 2
technical issues efficiently
Install, configure, and maintain
desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and accessories
Support
Windows OS
, Microsoft Office 365, and common enterprise applications
Manage
user accounts, permissions, and access
via Active Directory
Handle
ticket management
using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira)
Perform
hardware break/fix
, system upgrades, and replacements
Provide network support including
LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity troubleshooting
Coordinate with remote teams and third-party vendors for escalations
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and asset records
Ensure compliance with
IT policies, security standards, and procedures
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional onsite presence
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a
Desktop Support Engineer / IT Support Engineer
Strong hands-on experience in
end-user support and troubleshooting
German language proficiency at
B2 level or higher
, required for daily onsite communication.
Good communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
Knowledge of:
Windows 10/11 OS
Microsoft Office 365 & Outlook
Active Directory
Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
Hardware diagnostics and repair
Ability to work independently and handle onsite responsibilities
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
