Data Center Dispatch Technician – Apple Projects

Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Brandenburg, Gießen, Hitzhusen, Mildstedt, Achim, Katzenelnbogen, Bad Gandersheim, Bispingen, Bäklund, Castrop-Rauxel, Barssel, Erlangen, Gransee, Heide, Hürth, Vierden, Kevelaer, Kronshagen, Lehrte, Lorsch, Malchin, Oelde, Plaidt, Schwalmstadt, and Vahldorf.

About the Role:

Newlinx IT Services is supporting

Apple’s Data Center operations

across Germany. We are looking for experienced

Dispatch Technicians

to handle onsite infrastructure support, installation, and maintenance tasks aligned with Apple’s data center standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform on-site dispatches for racking, stacking, and cable management (Fiber/Copper/Power) Handle break-fix support: replace hardware (line cards, optics, cables), reboot systems, reseat components Assist in predictive and scheduled maintenance and circuit migrations Conduct OTDR, BER testing, loopback configurations, and follow Apple’s provisioning steps Collaborate with L3 teams remotely and maintain task documentation/reporting Ensure clean labeling, asset tagging, and compliance with safety and client protocols

Required Qualifications:

BSc in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent diploma/3-year technical degree) 5–8 years of experience in data center infrastructure or network support Hands-on experience with Nokia, Ciena, and DWDM environments Familiarity with ILA Hut sites and IT principles (networking, hardware) English fluency required; German language is a plus Knowledge of ITIL framework is preferred

Key Skills:

Fiber/Copper installation & maintenance (including MPOs) IMAC & break-fix operations OTDR, BER testing, loopbacks Inventory & spare part handling Documentation & SLA/KPI adherence Strong communication & self-managed dispatch support
