Customer Engagement Manager Oncology - Area North-East

Kiel - Hamburg - Bremen - Hannover -Berlin - Halle - Magdeburg

The opportunity

This is a

creation and growth

role. Incyte has established a new commercial oncology team in Germany with a clear objective: open difficult access points, earn clinical trust, and expand availability for patients who can benefit today. If you are motivated by building and strengthening a growing structure, and want your contributions to be visible from the start, this role provides that opportunity

The mission

Shape our expanding commercial oncology footprint (one launch ahead and one on-market product) across your territory. Success will depend on combining a growth mindset with disciplined, multi-channel engagement to activate the right healthcare professionals for the right patients at the right time.

Why it matters—and why it is challenging

Greenfield and optimization:

open new target groups and develop new engagement pathways for the launch of a new product in gastrointestinal oncology, expanding patient access while maximizing appropriate use of an existing one in identified centers.

Large geographies:

Success depends on thoughtful prioritization and rhythm of engagement, rather than the amount of travel

Competitive environment:

You will face established treatments. Success will come from clarity and prioritization: knowing whom to engage, with which value story, and at which point in the decision pathway.

Network is valuable and helpful, but not decisive:

Access experience and rare-disease exposure are advantageous; mindset and execution discipline are essential.

You will not start from zero:

An internal mapping of national experts and priority centers is available to build upon.

Key responsibilities

Territory strategy and execution:

Develop and own a territory engagement plan that maps centers, treatment networks, decision pathways, and key clinical decision makers. Orchestrate tailored multi-channel engagement (visits, digital, and follow-up) to guide stakeholders from awareness to adoption and advocacy.

Information, education and activation:

Deliver clear, compliant, and scientifically credible education through presentations, trainings, and events at local sites and networks to help stakeholders make informed treatment decisions.

Sales performance

: Achieve territory objectives and contribute to national sales goals.

Expert development:

Identify, engage, and foster relationships with Key External Experts to accelerate access and adoption.

Opportunity conversion

: Identify and convert opportunities across networks to increase appropriate product use

Insights to headquarters:

Provide timely field intelligence to Sales and Brand teams, to enable campaigns and strategies to reflect real-world needs.

Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Candidate profile

Degree in business, life sciences, or a related field Qualification as a pharmaceutical sales representative per §75 AMG Experience in oncology is a plus, exposure to rare diseases environment is a strong advantage. Demonstrated ability to gain access in complex settings and build connection and trust quickly. Proficient in multi-channel engagement with excellent follow-through. Strong communication and influencing skills in German and English (spoken and written). Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and international teams A learning mindset: structured experimentation, rapid learning, and disciplined adaptation.
