THE ROLE:
We are looking for a dynamic, upbeat software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality,

This role requires the student to work full time 40 hours a week, either in a hybrid or onsite throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contribute to a high-functioning feature team
C
ollaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them
Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive
results
You will contribute, develop and enhance our ML compiler by building custom optimizations and transformations targeted to ACAP on top of open-source technology like LLVM, MLIR
You will code and test compiler passes.
You will help to enhance our compiler build, test and development infrastructure.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
You’re studying towards a Master or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
You have strong knowledge of compiler design
You have strong C++ programming skills
You are familiar with the LLVM compiler infratructure
You have gained first experience with either using AI accelerators or compiling to an accelerator/ASIC
You have strong communication and problem-solving skills, have a hands-on mentality and are able to work in a team
You are an EU citizen or possess a valid work permit. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s
degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
