The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.

Cloud Solution Architects provide various services to our Enterprise customers to increase systems availability, resolve critical issues, and ultimately improve the health of our customers’ environments. We consult with experienced technical staff to ensure they have the skills to troubleshoot and maintain their solution in line with Microsoft best practices. When things do go wrong we provide rapid on site expertise to resolve critical situations.

Cloud Solution Architects deliver onsite and dedicated services for Microsoft’s Unified customers.



In line with our Flexible Work approach, for roles at Microsoft Germany and Austria, we recommend spending at least two days per week in the office or at the customer site. The actual number of days to work from the office or at the customer will be defined in agreement between the employee and their manager.

Responsibilities

Possess deep technical expertise in at least 80% of the mentioned technical specialties and can solve complex technical problems through sound, creative troubleshooting. You will also need to be able to examine possible workarounds and escalations as required. Set an example of excellence as a Microsoft representative, enhancing the company''s image and reputation through your credibility, preparation, commitment, and first-class delivery. Demonstrate strong communication skills; ability to develop strategic on-going customer relationships, gain trust and respect for the company. Engineers must also possess strong technical writing, presentation and training skills. Enjoy team work, and actively contribute to their peer group as well as our customer account teams. Communicate at all levels from CIO to the technical staff on the ground.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND proven experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.

Professional Experience and SkillsExtensive experience in managing end-user devices with Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune. + Proficient in Co-Management and Cloud Management Gateway implementation and administration
+ Strong expertise in the design, deployment, maintenance, and operation of modern device management solutions
+ Hands-on experience with Windows Autopilot
Solid background in managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Confident and efficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management In-depth understanding of enterprise IT infrastructures, particularly in large-scale environments Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving Comfortable and experienced in engaging directly with customers Recognized for strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
