Job Description

In this role, you will report to the Finance Director, Cluster Central, with the aim of analyzing, optimizing, and strengthening freight forwarding, logistics, and financial operations.





The role involves data analysis, process improvement, cost optimization, financial planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and strategic planning. The analyst also identifies trends, issues, and opportunities in both operations and finance to enhance overall business performance.

The position can be based in one of the following locations: Germany (Duisburg, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich), Poland (Warsaw), Hungary (Budapest), or Czech Republic (Prague).

Responsibilities:

Analyze freight and logistics data (e.g., volumes, shipping times, costs, efficiency metrics) to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders. Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to shipment efficiency, cost, and service levels. Work closely with teams across departments (e.g., IT, operations, finance, and sales) to implement changes and improve the freight and financial processes. Analyze freight rates, tariffs, surcharges, and overall transportation costs to suggest cost-saving opportunities. Assist in budget forecasting for freight costs and create financial models to support decision-making. Monitor and report on key financial metrics such as cost-per-shipment, freight margins, and overall logistics spend. Assist in preparing financial presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 3-years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, finance, or a similar field.

Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)

. Knowledge of Oracle and the EPBCS reporting tool would be an advantage Familiarity with freight forwarding and logistics software (e.g., Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems). Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis in logistics or freight. Multi-tasking skills & ability to prioritize work effectively, in order to meet reporting deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English - knowledge of German or other language skills would also be an advantage.
