General Position Description





Conti Federalis looking to add a BIM Coordinator to its team! This individual will be responsible for using BIM technologies to manage the design and construction process, coordinate between stakeholders, ensure quality control, manage documentation, and communicate effectively.


Responsibilities





Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.


Create, maintain and update LOD 350+ interdisciplinary 3D models of a construction project. The models should be accurate, up to date, and accessible to all stakeholders. Lead BIM coordination meeting between the design team, subcontractors and the construction team to ensure all parties involved are aware of any changes or issues. Use BIM tools to extract accurate quantities for material takeoffs, which can be used in project cost estimating. Review all project submittals and specifications provided by the project management team. Independently checks CAD work against mark-ups to ensure high quality. Identify potential clashes and conflicts in the design and construction phases and work to resolve them before construction begins. Create and manage construction schedules using BIM tools; identify potential conflicts and delays; plan for efficient use of resources. Manage and organize all documentation related to a project using BIM tools to help streamline the review and approval process. Work toward continuous quality improvement. Stay current with changing technology, including software and other technology programs. Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company safety policies. Effectively plan work and organize “with end in mind” by developing a pathway through anticipating needs and priorities. Develop a personal development plan for continuous improvement. Work toward continuous quality improvement. Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures. Ensure high quality and accuracy of work with self and others on team through pre-planning and a deliberate approach. Willingly and actively demonstrate leadership behavior through commitment, engagement, and integrity. Willing to travel occasionally—approximately 1 week every 2 months.

Qualifications




European Union Citizenship or EU work authorization Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least two years of BIM experience working with modeling programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Fabrication CADMEP/Civil3D is a plus, as well as project management environments (ACC/BIM360, CMiC). Portfolio showcasing LOD 350 models with multi-discipline coordination preferred. Able to prepare QC templates, drawings and details. Experience or familiarity with laser scanning and/or robotic surveying tool. Direct experience working with multi-discipline project teams. Detail-oriented and organized. Engaged, proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated. Deadline driven and able to multi-task efficiently. Possesses strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
