The Associate Finished Vehicle Logistics Specialist is responsible for the smooth operations of the finished vehicle logistics and cargo flows in one port in the tesla logistics network in EMEA. This role keeps in close contact with key stakeholders including regulatory authorities, port operators, shipping lines, but also with the subsequent nodes in the Tesla distribution network, such as the trucking fleet and the delivery centers.
The Associate Finished Vehicle Logistics Specialist manages the day-to-day operations within the port. Task such as truck load creation, supporting the loading and unloading of trains, trucks and vessels, following up on shipment creation and other tasks in TMS, paperwork creation for incoming and outgoing shipments, problem solving and support of the port operator are part of the role.
What You'll Do
Planning and coordinating all Tesla vehicles in/out of the port
Ensure that proper site-specific safety requirements and good environmental stewardship practices are followed
Follow up vessel operations loading/offloading to ensure all labour has been assembled for adequate and efficient operations in accordance with the vessel plan
Responsible for updating the itinerary and pre-arrival information
Customs and legal obligations (incl. cabotage requirements)
Submitting customs applications (import, export, T1 etc)
Manage transport planning and communication with carriers
Follow up on past due pickup dates
Maintain relationships with all port stakeholders
Assists in the coordination and execution of vehicle handling/repair/adjustment/inspection activities in the port, should these occur during irregular hours where required
