Associate Communication (gn) at the Jacques Delors Centre
part-time or full-time (32-40hrs/week). The contract shall commence as soon as possible in March 2026 and will be initially limited to 31 December 2026, With the intention to extend. The position is subject to projects’ funding approval.
The successful candidate will work at the Hertie School's Jacques Delors Centre and contribute to its Communication and Administration team, supporting the implementation of two focus projects.
Your tasks:
Support the PR and Communications work of the Jacques Delors Centre;
Manage PR-related tasks (media and press requests);
Organisation of various types of events (i.a. EU to go, Pariser Platz Dialogue, workshops) including e.g. coordination of event matters, guest relations, administrative tasks;
Maintenance of the Centre websites (Typo3 and WordPress);
Content creation for Social Media channels and websites incl. video and photo content;
Write regular Newsletters;
Layouting of publications (Indesign, Canva);
Support of the production of the EU to go podcast;
Administrative tasks, e.g. support third-party funding processes, obtain offers from external service providers, update database and statistics;
This position and the tasks above have a special focus on two projects: 1) “Pariser Platz Dialogue” (Deutsch-Französische Zukunftsgespräche) kindly funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and 2) “Europe in times of transformation” (Europa in Zeiten der Transformation*) kindly funded by the German Ministry of Finance.
Your profile:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as communication, business administration or political science; Master’s degree is an asset;
Confident use of MS Office applications, especially Excel;
Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English, at least one them at C1 level; other languages (e.g. French) are an asset;
Very good organisational skills, including the ability to self-organise your tasks;
Structured, pro-active working style and excellent communication skills;
Precise working methods, commitment and reliability;
You will work at the interface between public relations and event organisation where self-initiative and creativity are highly welcomed.
