About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Application Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Semiconductor Systems team in EMEA. In this role you will provide technical support to our Product Lines where GORE offers high performance cable solutions for cutting edge applications in the Semiconductor industry. You will closely partner with Sales and work with a cross-functional team (including Product Management, Process Engineering and R&D) to develop new applications as well as support existing customer applications. This includes direct collaboration with our customers to understand their technical needs and translate them into product requirements and specifications. This position will be located at our facility in Pleinfeld, Bavaria/Germany, while a Hybrid job model could also be considered.

Responsibilities

Partner with Sales and Product Management to drive sales growth in target applications Respond to customer requests for technical support, in partnership with Operations, Sales and Product Management Leverage customer relationships and market access as a key member of account and product teams to understand and develop application requirements based on customer and end user needs Verify and validate product design/construction based on the integration and use of the product Drive product form-related design, prototyping, and proposal activities for existing product concepts Partner with the Product Team to analyze competitive alternatives and assess Gore’s product positioning and value proposition

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (EE preferred) or related science Minimum of 3 years of experience in application engineering, product design and development Experience working strategically with external and internal customers Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of prioritizing and problem solving as well as demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with external and internal customers Self-directed and self-motivated to work in a demanding environment Ability to travel up to 30% and leverage virtual teaming
