Accounting Assistant (m/f/x)

Samsung SDS Germany is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented accounting assistant to support our Finance Team in maintaining Accurate Financial Records and ensuring smooth accounting operations. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a Crucial role in processing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and providing administrative support to the Finance department. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possess strong numerical skills, and has a keen eye for accuracy.

Responsibilities

Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including accurate and timely invoice processing, payment allocation, record collections. Prepare customer invoices, support sales and business teams with invoice and payment-related issues. Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Maintain and update the general ledger by posting journal entries and verifying the accuracy of financial transactions. Process employee expenses report and verify expenses claims for compliance with company policies. Provide guidance and support on expense claim procedures. Monitor and maintain Asset records, ensuring accuracy and proper valuation. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. Support annual and internal audits by preparing relevant materials and reports. Support Finance Manager on ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in multinational companies preferred). Familiar with SAP or other ERP systems. Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills. Detail-oriented, responsible, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Proficient in English; German proficiency is a plus as working languages.
