Account Manager (level I or II).
This will be a
remote
position located in
Germany, with some travel within Europe.
Summary:
Account Managers are responsible for managing and driving assigned customers to grow revenue by developing and maintaining business relationships to continually identify and capture new business opportunities by executing plans. They ensure that customer needs and satisfaction are optimized.
Responsibilities:
Account Manager I: Assist with maintaining current business and identifying general new business opportunities with assistance from leadership.
Participate in the development of customer account plans, including gathering data on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity.
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Support on-site visits and virtual meetings; take notes and track follow-up items.
Input and maintain sales forecasts and data in CRM and forecasting systems.
Attend internal cross-functional meetings to support customer-related discussions.
Observe and learn to handle technical questions by working closely with application engineers or technical service staff.
Maintain awareness of customer news and industry developments; flag key items to the team.
Account Manager II: Same duties as Account Manager I.
Additional duties as Account Manager II:
+ Manage day-to-day interactions with assigned customers, including regular face-to-face and virtual meetings.
+ Identify potential growth opportunities at existing accounts and support the onboarding of new projects or products.
+ Develop and execute basic account strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
+ Coordinate internally to align commercial, supply chain, and technical support for customer needs.
+ Address common customer questions on product availability, lead times, and basic technical specifications.
+ Maintain accurate forecasts and sales pipeline using CRM tools.
+ Track customer satisfaction metrics and initiate corrective actions when needed.
+ Stay informed on customer organizational changes and industry news; share updates internally.
Education & Credentials:
Account Manager I: Associate’s degree in business, applied science, or related field and 2+ years related experience or
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, chemistry, or related field and 0+ years related experience or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Account Manager II: Associate’s degree in business, applied science, or related field and 4+ years related experience or
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, chemistry, or related field and 2+ years related experience or
Master’s degree in business, engineering, chemistry, or related field and 0+ years related experience or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
